About Me

​

​I was born & brought-up in Mysore, Karnataka, India in a lower middle-class family.  My primary school days were spent at the Christ the King Convent, Mysore (played all sports - Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, cricket, Athletics and excelled at academics). This was also the advent of my drum mimicry skill. At Secondary/Pre-University I was at the Marimallappa Highschool & Pre-University Mysore (where Cricket was my primary prospect. It was during this time I met Javagal Srinath, who was a senior to me. I was the school captain for cricket, athletics & had good academics).

 

The early days of  my life were quite difficult as my father retired when I was in 9th standard & the times were precarious as it was challenging to even afford a meal a day. Nonetheless, I never gave up and continued towards my goals, as a result all of my education was meritorious. My father instilled the discipline of family ethics, value & they forever will remain in my life.  I loved cricket & wanted to become a cricketer & doctor, however I was destined to become an engineer. All through my life my father, mother & grand parents gave me unconditional love, support & joy.

 

All good things must come to an end, and I lost my father in 1992; they were the toughest days of my life .. and I continued to take care of my mother, sister & nephew till date. I got married in 1996 to my wife Anu, who is very thoughtful & caring. I have two kids - son (Ranjan) & daughter (Ranjini) who always makes me happy, inspired and motivated.

Currently, I am Head of Innovations centers, Center of Excellence, AI Chief Architect & Technologist, Cloud Engineering (OCI), Japan & Asia Pacific at Oracle (Singapore, Japan, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong,  China, Korea, Australia & New Zealand).

I have 34 years of experience in Software R&D. Working on Oracle Cloud in Data Science - AI/ML, Generative AI, IoT, BlockChain, Data Mesh, Hybrid, Infrastructure & Security. Flagship MESHMerize.ai Oracle Cloud Accelerator platform (Asset, Data, Knowledge, AI, Regulatory & Compliance, Configurator & Orchestrator) Fabric includes Unstructured - PDF, Doc, CSV-Excel, Zip, PST, Text, Video, Image &  Structured data - ingestion & management , Gen AI, Search engine, Semantic Chat (RAG, RAG framework (LangChain, DSPy, OCI Gen AI), advanced RAG techniques like REACT, CoT - Chain of thoughts, Evaluation framework - RAGAS, Local LLM Support, Agentic based workflow & Vector DB), Knowledge Graphs with Ontology - chat enabled, Policy management with auditing, Analytics, AI-ChatBot, Integrations to any applications, AI workspace management & Multi-language support (International & Regional Indian languages) was designed & developed. This accelerator is multitude of industries and sectors (Automobiles, Government Specific domains, Transportation systems, Energy Firms, Banking Firms, Media platforms, Healthcare).

Prior roles in Oracle - Senior Director, Data Base Engineering R&D & Chief Architect India Development Center R&D.

I had taken up several Senior Executive leadership roles at Ca Technologies (Now Broadcom), NetApp, Dell Technologies, HP Inc. & OpenText.

​

I have been the frontrunner and leader for a multitude of cloud based products entailing that of development, strategy, integration, transformation, operations, conceptualizing novel designs (granted patents) & execution. I have garnered change in that of myriad areas transmuting technologies, services and offerings in the realm of cloud based platforms, of respective firms.

I have enabled several firms to encompass and embody End2End competence, expanding their business scope from transforming their legacy based technologies & infrastructure to current generational specification requirements. On several occasions, enterprises have been able to place at the top of their respective market share, due to the impact of changes brought about my solutions & products. 

 

I have done an Executive Leadership Program from Yale University USA.  I hold a MS in Computer Science & Engineering in addition to a MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, USA.   I am a BE Computer Science graduate from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore, India.

 

I have been awarded ten US patents & currently have eleven patents pending. I have authored & developed W3C Web services Access Protocols – WS-Eventing, WS-SOAPAssertions, WS-Enumeration, WS-EventDescriptions, WS-Fragment, WS-MetadataExchange & WS-Transfer. 

 

I am the Advisor Board member  for the Information Management Technology (IMT) – Hyderabad University, India (nominated from Oracle), working group member in India AI - 2023 by IT Ministry of India & Nodal officer appointed by Oracle for National eGovernance Division (NeGD) for Responsible AI Youth India.

A volunteer, state-cricketer, mentor, advisor & musician.

My friends were always an integral part of my life journey from school, throughout college & my respective workplaces (special thanks to Vinay, Hyavadan, Srikanth Chetty, Arun, Giri, Rajeev, Ramachandran, Pradeep Daniel, Koustubh, Srinivas). My best friend & brother Abraham Mathew who has continually wished me in every aspect of my life.

I also consider Late M C Abraham as an inspirational leader. Thanks to Daniel Uncle & his family members for their great support during my period of grieving.

To Dale Gutt in the USA, who was very caring and understanding. My in-laws, sister-in-laws, co-brothers, sisters, nephew that were supportive . In addition, I would like to mention My pet parrot - Midori - who showered me with unconditional love. Unfortunately, she is no more, nevertheless she will always remain in my heart.

 

I cherish my working team members as they were like family, and I thoroughly relish every moment spent with working with them. I want to thank my doctor friends who saved my life during Covid Apr-2021 (Dr Mohan, Dr Lakshmikanth, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Dr Murali, Dr Kiran Kinger, Dr Krupa Johar).

 

I have always & continue to work as a team member to achieve the best & build leadership skills to take the most challenging tasks & deliver the best outcome at work.
